Allison Law Firm, LLC

Personal Injury

Why do I need the Allison Law Firm?

The Allison Law Firm is highly-regarded and respected in the Kansas City metro area and throughout Kansas and Missouri in representing people injured by accident. Many of our cases come from referrals of previous clients and other attorneys.

For over 29 years, we have represented only injured people. We have never represented an insurance company, and never will. We can determine if you have a case, how to build your case, and how to negotiate your case with an insurance company, and if necessary, how to take your case to trial.

When you or someone you know has suffered an injury as the result of somebody else’s action, most people would think it is reasonable that the person would offer to compensate you for your injury or that their insurance company would offer a fair settlement. In this day and age, that rarely happens. Insurance companies count on most people not knowing how to protect their legal rights. Their job is to make a profit, and they do this by often under compensating injury victims.

Too often we hear of people negotiating with an insurance company themselves, and we find time after time, that they have taken advantage of people’s lack of knowledge.

They get people to say things they don’t mean and use it against them, and then force the lowest possible settlement.

With years of experience dealing with insurance companies, The Allison Law Firm is there to help you obtain a successful settlement that significantly exceeds what you could obtain on your own.

How much does it cost to hire the Allison Law Firm?

Most of our cases are accepted on a contingent fee basis, meaning that if you win, then we receive a percentage of the settlement or award as our fee. We only receive a fee if you win. Otherwise, there is no fee due.

There are costs however to pursue a case, which ethically must always be the responsibility of the client. Such things as accident reports, medical records, and medical bills are crucial in pursuing a case. When necessary, our firm will advance the costs of these types of expenses, so there is no out-of-pocket expense to you.

The amount of the contingent fee will vary.

How do I know if the Allison Law Firm is the right fit to handle my case?

I have been practicing law for over 29 years and have successfully represented thousands of people over that time. I have represented poor people and rich people, young people and old people. I have represented people of most every ethnic and racial background.

Over the entirety of my practice, I have been actively involved in professional organizations that promote justice and fairness. I am an active member in the Kansas Association for Justice, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, have been active in the American Trial Lawyers Association, and have been an active member of the Kansas Bar Association since 1985 and the Missouri Bar Association since 1988.

In protecting a person’s rights who has been injured, it is important to ask the right questions. The two most important questions in establishing a personal injury case is – Who is at fault? And, what are your damages? Each case has its own set of facts, so the answer to these questions is not always clear. It is always my goal to make certain, however, that you know the answer to these questions in a way that is clear and understandable, beginning from the very first call to our office and continuing to the end of the case.

It is my belief that people want an attorney that has experience in representing a wide variety of people, that is actively involved in organizations whose goal is to protect an individual’s right to fair compensation, and to be able to communicate in a manner that results in clear understanding. On top of it all, you want an attorney that is successful.

I take great pride in the fact that most of the people and families we represent come to us from referrals of clients we have represented, referrals from our existing clients, and referrals from other attorneys.

In the end, the best way to know if we are the right fit for your case is to call and share with us what happened and how you were injured. I guarantee that after calling you will have the knowledge about your rights to receive the compensation you deserve. I also guarantee that if I can’t help you, then I will do my best to get you to someone who can help you.
